Abstract
Arsyita Dewi, 2022. Student ID 321415056. Students' perception on the use of Lyrics Training Website, English Department, Letters and Culture Faculty, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The Principal Supervisor is Dra. Elsje L. Sambouw, M.Hum and The Co-Supervisor is Nurlaila Husain, S.S., M.Pd. This research aimed to find out the students' perception on the use of LyricsTraining website in learning listening skill. The data were conducted from 17 students of the second semester students of an English Education Program at State University of Gorontalo. This study used a qualitative research. The data were collected by using questionnaire. The questions of the questionnaire were developed by the researcher based on Robbins' theory, which include acceptance, understanding, and evaluation. The finding of this research showed that that the students agreed that they like to listen English song and uses lyrics training website as a media in learning English process. The students gave positive perception toward lyricstraining website in learning listening skill, it is make students relaxed by listening to music, and be able to differentiate the correct words, they being more happy, being more excited in learning process, they were easier to understand, vocabularies, express their opinion, and they can practice it in daily life. Whereas there were also some students gave negative perception toward lyricstraining website in learning listening skill in learning process that they cannot be anthusiastic, express their opinion, and difficult to memorize the word while learn listening skill by using lyricstraining because of they felt bored and afraid of being wrong in learning English.
