An Analysis of Semantical Errors on Narrative Text Translation a Study Conducted in Children's Stories Books Written by Chandra Imam Dausyah (2016), English Education Department, Letters and Culture Faculty, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. (2) Novriyanto Napu, S.Pd., M.App.Ling., Ph.D. The importance of mastering foreign languages, especially English language leads to the facts that Translation has an important role in transferring information to another languages. Thus, translator plays a crucial role in translating as well as delivering the intended meaning to its readers. This present study aims to examine the kinds of semantical errors on narrative text translation on children's stories books written by Chandra Imam Dausyah (2016), made in case of Indonesian to English. The data of the study were obtained by using qualitative method. In this corpus study, the data were taken from children's stories books written by Chandra Imam Dausyah (2016), which consisted four books. Semantical errors classification by James taxonomy (1998) was used in analysis the data. The findings show that among four books obtained, there are 27 errors which consist of eleven collocate errors; ten omission errors; three coinage errors; two suffix errors and one both collocate error.
