Abstract
This research aims to determine whether the Structure dyadic (SDM) method can improve students' comprehension skills in reading texts in class X SMA Negeri 1 Mananggu. A quantitativemethod was employed in discovering the results, where it was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Mananggu, and the participants were the tenth-gradestudents at the said school. Data collection was employed by using pre-test and post-test and the treatment is used as a means of improving students' reading comprehension. The results showed that there is an improvement in students' reading comprehension, which can be seen from the higher post-test score. Furthermore, by implementing structure dyadic method, students are able to pass the reading comprehension indicators, which reflected their increased ability in the said skill. Therefore, based on the explanation above, it can be summarized that the students' reading comprehension is improved because of the implementation of structure dyadic method (SDM) in teaching and learning process.
