The purpose of this study is to analyze aspect of writing in students basic consideration of their proposal. It employed qualitative descriptive method which involved a rubric of aspect of writing by Brown (2007). The participants were five students of English major in academic year of 2015/2016 that already passed Research on Language subject. The data were collected by gathering students document of basic consideration and conducting in depth interview with participants. This study revealed that most of students were bad in grammar aspect which frequently caused by grammatical or agreement inaccuracies. In contrast, the researcher found that almost all the participant was good in dealing with organization aspect. Moreover, by concerning the final result of each participant about those five aspects of writing, the whole participant only reached the score which categorize as fair and poor. In the other words, the quality of students writing basic consideration was considered as low that definitely needs more improvement.
