Advisor (1) Karmila Machmud, M.A., Ph.D (2) Farid Muhamad, S.Pd, M.A. Google Classroom is a media of learning that used by the lecturers to control the learning activity anytime and anywhere. It facilitates them in communication especially for sharing the materials and collecting the studentsâ assignments. However, the students still have problems while using the platform such as the error of class code and password for gmail account (Iftakhar, 2016). Regarding to those cases, this study emphasizes on discovering the studentsâ perceptions toward the use of Google Classroom as a media of learning. The participants of the study are the students of English Department UNG which include class of 2016 and 2018. Some of them were chosen by using purposive sampling technique. Using a qualitative method, the data were collected from semi-structure interview and it was analyzed based on thematic analysis. As a result, the students believed that Google Classroom as a media of learning can facilitate them in learning activities, so that it makes the learning becomes effective and efficient. Although there are some problems that occurred, but it can be solved if there is a communication between the lecturer and student. Regarding this, most of the participants still agree about the use of Google Classroom as a media of learning because considering to more advantages that the platform gives to them and to their lecturers.
