ABSTRACT Shavira Laisa. 2022. 321 417 052. Adopting Duolingo as a Media for Teaching Prepositiion. The research conducted at the eight grade students of SMP N 1 Kabila in the academic year 2021/2022. Skripsi. English Educational Study Program. Letters and Cultures Faculty. First Advisor Dr. Jolanda H.D. Pilongo, M. Pd. Second Advisor Sri Agriyanti Mestari, S. Pd., M.Ed. TESOL. This research was conducted to find out whether or not the use of Duolingo improve the students preposition to the eight grade students of SMP N 1 Kabila. The research used a Pre-Experimental design, which used pre-test and post-test without using class control. The research conducted at the eight grade students of SMP N 1 Kabila in academic year 2021/2022. The research used purposive sampling in taking the sample which are 30 students of class E. The data of the students achievement were collected by using test that consist of 50 items of questions number. These data were analyzed quantitatively using t-test with help SPSS 21 to see the significance different sfor each aspects and all aspects in the pre-test and post-test. The findings of the study indicated that the result of the pre-test and post-test was significantly higher than of pre-test and the H1 (Duolingo can increase students preposition) in the hypothesis verification is accepted. The result is Duolingo was found out helpful to improve students preposition mastery for eight grade students of SMP N 1 Kabila in academic year 2021/2022.
