Abstract
Siti Nurjannah. 2014. Kemampuan Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal-Soal Sistem Persamaan Linear. Skripsi, Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika jurusan Pendidikan Matematika, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Drs. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan menyelesaikan soal-soal sistem persamaan linear di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMA Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo berjumlah 33 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes untuk mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal sistem persamaan linear. Data dari hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik yang meliputi Analisis Deskripsi, Uji Normalitas dan Uji Hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kemampuan siswa SMA Negeri 2 Kota Gorontalo menyelesaikan soal-soal sistem persamaan linear paling tinggi 70 %. Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan menyelesaikan soal tinggi sebanyak 24,242 %, siswa yang memiliki kemampuan menyelesaikan soal sedang sebanyak 45,455 % dan sisswa yang memiliki kemampuan menyelesaikan soal rendah sebanyak 30,303 %. Dari empat indikator pemecahan masalah, sebanyak 91,41 % siswa memiliki kemampuan memahami masalah, 60,61 % siswa memiliki kamampuan membuat rencana penyelesaian masalah, 16,67 % siswa memiliki kemampuan melaksanakan penyelesaian sesuai rencana dan 4,21 % siswa memiliki kamampuan membuat penafsiran.

The research was quantitative descriptive wihch aimed to find out the students' ability in solving the problem of linear equation system in SMA Neheri 2 of Gorontalo city. Subject of research was students of class X of SMA Negeri 2 of Gorontalo city amounted to 33 student. Instrumen of research was test to measure students' ability in solving the linear equation system problem. Data of result was analyzed using statistical analysis included the descriptive analysis, normality and hypothesis test. The result showed thet the average of students' ability in solving the linear equation system problem was 70%. Students who capable in solving the difficult, moderate and easy problem were 24,242%, 45,455% and 30,303% for each problem. Based on fuor indicators of problem solving, there was 91,41% students had the ability in understanding the problem, 60,61% students in composing the plan of problem solving, 16,67% students in solving the problem accord with the plan and 4,21% students in making the interpretation.
