Abstract
ABSTRAK Supyan. S, 2015. Deskriptif Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Siswa Dalam Menyelesaikan Soal-Soal UN Pada Materi Geometri (Suatu Penelitian di SMP Negeri 1 Telaga). Skripsi, Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Fakultas Matematika dan IPA Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I: Prof. Dr. H. Sarson W. Dj. Pomalato, M.Pd dan pembimbing II: Drs. Sumarno Ismail, M.Pd. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan bagaimana berpikir kritis siswa kelas IX di SMP Negeri 1 Telaga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan menggunakan penelitian berupa pemberian tes dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian bahwa rata-rata persentase capaian kemampuan siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Telaga pada materi Geometri menurut indicator kemampuan berpikir kritis yaitu pada indicator mengidentifikasi masalah sebesar 66.826%, indicator menganalisis sebesar 62.873%, indicator mensintesis sebesar 68.1%, dan indicator menginference sebesar 39.493%. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sangat beragam dan belum begitu maksimal sehingga perlu metode dan strategi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pomalato, M.Pd and the co-supervisior was Drs. Sumarno Ismail, M.Pd. This research aimed at describing the students' critical thinking at class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Telaga. The method used in this research was descriptive method by using test and interview as techniques of data collection. Based on the research result, the average of students' achievement percentage at class IX of SMP Negeri 1 Telaga on Geometri topic according to problem identification indicator was 66.826%, analysis indicator was 62.873%, synthesize indicator was 68.1%, and inference indicator was 39.493%. Students' critical thinking was varied and not too optimal so that it needed learning method and strategy to improve the students' ability. Keywords : Critical Thinking
