Abstract
ABSTRAK Farida J. Walude, NIM. 411413009. Profil Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika pada Materi Perbandingan berdasarkan Tahapan Polya bagi Siswa Kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo. Skripsi. Panigoro, S.Pd., M.Si Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo tahun ajaran 2017/2018, Kabupaten Gorontalo. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Negeri 1 Kota Gorontalo sebanyak sebelas kelas. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 33 orang dengan teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Data penelitian ini diperoleh dari tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dalam bentuk tes essay pada materi Perbandingan. Untuk melihat kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika digunakan 4 indikator yaitu : (a) memahami masalah, (b) merancang rencana, (c) melaksanakan rencana, (d) melihat kembali. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa pemecahan masalah matematika pada materi Perbandingan tergolong pada kategori kurang. Description of Grade VII Students' Ability in Solving Mathematics Problems of Comparison Words Based on Polya's Problem-solving in Islamic School, Mts Negeri 1, Gorontalo City. Undergraduate Thesis. The objective of this research is to describe the ability of grade VII students in solving mathematics problems of comparison word problems by Polya in Islamic School, Mts Negeri 1, Gorontalo City. It involved all grade VII students from a total of 11 classes in the research site. Furthermore, as many as 33 students were selected as the sample by using cluster random sampling. The data were generated from the result of the test of comparison word problems. Four indicators, i.e., (a) understanding problems, (b) planning, (c) implementation of the plan, and (d) reviewing were used to examine the students' problem-solving ability.
