Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor apa saja yang dapat
mempengaruhi tingkat pengangguran di provinsi Gorontalo. Faktor-faktor yang
digunakan antara lain pertumbuhan penduduk, pertumbuhan ekonomi, tingkat
inflasi dan upah minimum. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari Badan Pusat
Statistik Provinsi Gorontalo dari tahun 2003 sampai 2016. Analisis yang digunakan
adalah regresi berganda. Asumsi yang harus dipenuhi dalam analisis ini antara lain
linearitas, non-heteroskedastisitas, non-multikolinearitas, non-autokorelasi, dan
berdistribusi normal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel yang secara
signifikan mempengaruhi tingkat pengangguran di provinsi Gorontalo antara lain
pertumbuhan ekonomi, tingkat inflasi dan upah minimum. Sedangkan variabel
yang tidak signifikan mempengaruhi tingkat pengangguran adalah pertumbuhan
penduduk. Model regresi yang terbentuk adalah Y = 36.15 â' 0.37X1 â' 3.55X2 +
0.31X3 â' 5.69 - 10â'6X4

This research is intended to investigate the factors that influence the degree
of unemployment in Gorontalo province. The factors used are the growth of
population, economic, the rate of inflation, and minimum wage. Additionally, the
data used in this study from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Gorontalo from
2003 to 2006. The analysis uses multiple regressions. The assumptions that should
be fulfilled in this study are linearity, non-heteroscedasticity, non-multicollinearity,
non-autocorrelation, and normally distributed. The result of this research shows
that the variable which significantly influences the degree of unemployment in
Gorontalo province is the economic growth, the rate of inflation, and the minimum
wage. However, the variable which is not significantly influencing the degree of
unemployment is the growth of population. Further, the regression model formed is
Y = 36.15 â' 0.37X1 â' 3.55X2 + 0.31X3 â' 5.6910(â' 6)X4
