Ayun Pakaya,421408099. 2014. Penggunaan metode demonstrasi dalam upaya meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada materi cahaya dan sifatnya. Skripsi, Jurusan fisika FMIPA Universitas Negeri Gorontalo.2014. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA materi Cahaya dan sifatnya dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi. Lokasi penelitian adalah SDN No.74 Kota Timur. Siswa yang dikenakan tindakan berjumlah 22 orang siswa dengtan rincian 13 orang laki-laki dan 9 orang perempuan. Dalam proses pembelajaran siswa dibagi dalam kelompok-kelompok. Untuk memudahkan penyajian materi digunakan alat-alat demonstrasi yang berhubungan dengan materi sifat-sifat cahaya.Dalam pengumpulan data digunakan instrumen berupa lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan lembar observasi kegiatan siswa serta tes tertulis menyangkut materi yang telah diajarkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggunaan metode demonstrasi,selain dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran materi cahaya dan sifatnya dikelas V SDN No.74 Kota Timur Kota Gorontalo tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 juga dapat menghasilkan hasil belajar siswa. Data pada siklus I menunjukan bahwa siswa yang memperoleh nilai 75 keatas berjumlah 16 orang siswa (72,72%),pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 21 orang siswa atau sebesar 95,45% atau meningkat 22,73%.

The purpose of this research is to improve learning outcomes light material science and nature by using a demonstration. The research location is SDN 74 East City. Students are subjected to the action amounted to 22 students with details of 13 men and 9 women. In the learning process of students were divided into groups. To facilitate the presentation of the material used equipment demonstrations related to the material properties used light. In the data collection instruments such as observation sheet activities of teachers and students activity observation sheet and a written test concerning the material that has been taught. The results showed that the use of methods of demonstration, in addition to improving the quality of light and its instructional materials in class V SDN 74 East City Gorontalo 2012/2013 school year can also produce student learning outcomes. Data on the first cycle showed that students who received grades of 75 or more totaling 16 students (72.72%), on the second cycle increased to 21 students or by 95.45%, an increase of 22.73%.
