Abstract
ABSTRAKFatmawati, 2014. Identifikasi Kesulitan Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Persamaan Reaksi di Kelas X dan XI IPA MAN Batudaa. Skripsi, Jurusan Pendidikan Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing: (I) Drs. Mardjan Paputungan, M.Si, (2) Rakhmawaty A. Asui, S.Pd, M.SiPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi persamaan reaksi di kelas X dan XI IPA MAN Batudaa. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa MAN Batudaa sebanyak 84 orang siswa yang terdiri dari kelas X.A 24 orang siswa, kelas X.B 14 orang siswa, kelas XI IPA.I, 25 orang siswa, kelas XI IPA.2, 21 orang siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah berupa tes persamaan reaksi yang dibuat sesuai indikator, selanjutnya digunakan untuk melihat kesulitan belajar siswa pada materi persamaan reaksi. Analisis data dilakukan secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam materi persamaan reaksi, hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang terkait dengan penyelesaian instrumen, kesulitan siswa tidak dapat membedakan antara koefisien dan indeks sehingga siswa salah menerapakan hukum kekekalan massa, penulisan tata nama senyawa, menuliskan rumus molekul, menuliskan pembentukan senyawa, sehingga siswa tidak dapat menyetarakan persamaan reaksi dengan benar.

Mardjan Paputungan, M.Si, (2) Rakhmawaty A. Asui, S.Pd, M.SiThe research aimed to investigate the students' learning difficulties on reaction equation material at class X and XI IPA of MAN Batudaa. The research applied qualitative descriptive method. The subjects of research were 84 students of MAN Batudaa which consisted of 24 students of class X.A, 14 students of class X.B, 25 students of class XI IPA.I, and 21 students of class XI IPA.2. The instrument of research was reaction equation tes made based on indicator, then it was used to know the students' learning difficulties on reaction equation material. The research result showed that the students had difficulties on reaction equation material. It was showed by the lack of students' understanding to material which related to the completeness of the instrument, the students'difficulties such as unable to distinguish the coefficient and index so that the students' were wrong in applying conservation laws of mass, writing the compound nomenclature, writing the molecular formula, writing the formation of compounds. Therefore, the students'could not equalize the reaction equation correctly. Keywords: Student' Learning Difficulties, Reaction Equation.
