Abstract
ABSTRAK Sulistiawati Balong (2015). Karakterisasi Biobriket Dari Eceng Gondok (Eichornia Crassipes) Sebagai Bahan Bakar Alternatif. Skripsi, Jurusan Kimia, Program Studi Pendidikan Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Prof. Dr. Ishak Isa, M.Si dan Pembimbing II Hendri Iyabu, S.Pd, M.Si. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan tanaman eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes) sebagai bahan bakar alternatif. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pembuatan biobriket yaitu pengeringan, karbonasi, dan pencetakan. Karakterisasi biobriket meliputi uji proksimasi yakni kadar air, kadar abu, kadar senyawa volatil, kadar karbon terikat dan nilai kalor. Dari hasil uji proksimasi menunjukkan bahwa briket dari eceng gondok memperoleh rata-rata 12,233% untuk kadar air, rata-rata 18,315% untuk kadar abu, rata-rata 50,900% untuk kadar senyawa volatil, rata-rata 18, 552% untuk kadar karbon terikat, serta 3725,072-4181,943 kal/g dengan rata-rata 4049,097 kal/g untuk nilai kalor yang diperoleh dari briket arang eceng gondok. Stages of research include making biobriket ie drying, carbonation, and printing. Proximate biobriket testing includes testing the moisture content, ash content, content of volatile compounds, bound carbon content and calorific value. From the test results proximate showed that the briquettes from water hyacinth gained an average of 12.233% for water content, an average of 18.315% for ash content, an average of 50.900% for the levels of volatile compounds, an average of 18, 552% of the carbon content bound and 3725.072 to 4181.943 cal / g with an average 4049.097 cal / g for the calorific value derived from charcoal briquettes hyacinth. keywords: Water Hyacinth, Characterization Of Biobriket, Alternative fuel, Proximate Test
