Abstract
ABSTRACT Rifaldi, 2017. The Impact of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) through Traditional Game Bilu-Bilulu Towards the Students` Learning Outcome in Chemical Bond Lesson. Undergraduate Thesis. Chemistry Education Study Programme, Department of Chemistry, Faculty Of Mathematics And Natural Sciences, State University Of Gorontalo. Principal Supervisor: Dr. Akram La Kilo, M.Si. Co-supervisor: Julhim S. Tangio S.Pd, M.Pd The study is aimed at determining the impact of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning model through Bilu-Bilulu Traditional game on the students` learning outcome in the chemical bond lesson. The sub-lesson is particularly about the ionic bond and covalent bond. This experimental study employed Posttest-only Control Groub Design and the method of data analysis was using t-test. The total sample was 45 students distributed in two classes. Furthemore, the TGT model was applied in the experimental class, 24 students, while the conventional learning with 21 stundent, was used in the control class. The results of the post-test reveal that the average score of the experimental class is 77.08 and the other class is 63. This indicates that the learning outcome is at significant level 0.05 with the value of tcount > ttable or 2.607 > 1.681; in other words, H0 is in the rejection area or accepting H1. In conclusion, it is shown that the TGT model applied through the traditional game affects the results of students learning in the chemical bond material. Keywords: Teams Games Tournament (TGT), Bilu-Bilulu Traditional Game, Learning Outcome, Chemical Bond.
