Abstract
ABSTRAK SITRIA LANTU, 2018. "Pengaruh Penggunaan Metode Pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang Pada Mata Pelajaran Geografi Terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa Kelas X IPS Di SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo". Pembimbing I, Dr. Sunarty S. Eraku S.Pd, M.Pd dan Pembimbing 2, Dr. Eng. Sri Maryati, S.Si. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas yang menggunakan metode pembelajaran Teka-Teki Silang dengan kelas menggunakan metode pembelajaran Word Square pada mata pelajaran geografi kelas X IPS di Sma Negeri 3 Gorontalo. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPS Sma Negeri 3 Gorontalo yang berjumlah 4 kelas. Metode yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Tehnik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian menggunakan instrumen tes berupa essay. Berdasarkan pengujian normalitas kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai Lhitung = 0,133 < Ltabel = 0,161 data tersebut berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal. Kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai Lhitung = 0,139 < Ltabel = 0,161 data tersebut berasal dari populasi berdistribusi normal. Hipotesis penelitian ini diperoleh nilai thitung = 9,68 > ttabel = 1,671 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan metode teka-teki silang dengan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan word square. Rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan metode teka-teki silang yakni 91,6 lebih tinggi dibandingkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas kontrol yang menggunakan metode word square yakni 77. "The Influence of Crossword Puzzle Learning Media Use at Geography Subject on Students' Learning Achievement at Class X of IPS (Social Sciences) in SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo". The principal supervisor is Dr. Sunarty S. Eraku, S.Pd., M.Pd, and the co-supervisor is Dr. Eng. Sri Maryati, S.Si. The research aimed to investigate the difference of students' learning achievement at the class that applied crossword puzzle learning method and one that applied Word Square learning method at geography subject in class X of IPS SMA Negeri 3 Gorontalo. The research population was all students from 4 classes at class X. The research used random cluster samping. The technique of data collection employed essay as at test instrument. Research finding found that based on data normality test, Lcount < and Ltable for experiment class were o,133 and 0,161 respectively or Lcount < Ltable, it was from a normally distributed population. The Lcount dan Ltable for control class were 0,139 and 0,161 in sequence or Lcount < Ltable, and it was from a normally distributed population. The hypothesis was tcount = 9,68 > ttable = 1,671, thus it rejected H0 accepted H1. The provious findings confirmed that there was a difference between students' learning achievements at a class that applied Crossword Puzzle method and one that applied Word Square method. The average students' learning achievementin class applying crossword puzzle was 91,6, or it was higher than those who were from word square class namely 77.
