Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa Biaya Operasional Kendaraan (BOK) yang dikeluarkan oleh penyedia jasa angkutan bus Damri trayek Kota Gorontao - Mohiyolo, serta mengetahui apakah tarif yang telah ditentukan oleh pemerintah dapat memenuhi pendapatan yang diterima oleh operator atau penyedia jasa angkutan bus Damri trayek Kota Gorontalo - Mohiyolo.
Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriftif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Metode kuantitatif digunakan dalam menghitung BOK dan tarif angkutan umum yang sesuai dengan BOK. Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam analisis untuk membandingkan tarif angkutan bus Damri yang berlaku sekarang dan yang dianalisis.
Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis yang dilakukan, besarnya BOK bus Damri trayek Kota Gorontalo - Mohiyolo dihitung berdasarkan biaya tetap, biaya tidak tetap, dan biaya overhead adalah sebesar Rp.2.214/km atau Rp.83.684.121/tahun. Subsidi yang diterima sebesar Rp.100.000.000/tahun. Dari perhitungan diperoleh besarnya biaya subsidi yang seharusnya diterima bus Damri agar biaya subsidi dan pendapatan bisa menutupi BOK adalah sebesar Rp.36.434.121/tahun atau Rp.101.206/hari. Sementara besarnya tarif dihitung berdasarkan BOK dan jumlah penumpang rata - rata/rit. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh tarif untuk trayek Kota Gorontalo - Mohiyolo sebesar Rp.47.000/pnp.

The research aimed to analyze Vehicle Operating Cost (VOC) spent by a service provider of Damri Bus for Gorontalo City - Mohiyolo track and to know whether or not the tariff determined by the government could meet income of the operator or the service provider.
Method of data analysis used in the research was quantitative and qualitative descriptive test. The quantitative method was applied to calculate the VOC and public transportation tariff based on the VOC while the qualitative method was used to compare tariff of Damri bus as public transportation that is currently applied and being analyzed.
Based on the research finding and analysis, the amount of VOC of Damri bus for Gorontalo City - Mohiyolo track was calculated based on the fixed cost, variable cost, and overhead cost namely IDR 2.214/km or IDR 83.684.121/year. The received subsidy was IDR 100.000.000/year. Based on the calculation, the amount of subsidy required to be received by Damri bus to cover the VOC from subsidy cost and income was IDR 36.434.121/year or IDR 101.206/day. Meanwhile, the amount of tariff calculated based on the VOC and the average number of passenger/rit was IDR 47.000 for the track as mentioned earlier.
