Gorontalo Electronic Centre merupakan tempat kegiatan promosi dan perdagangan produk elektronik yang mampu memberikan solusi atau pemecahan masalah akan pemenuhan kebutuhan barang elektronik, serta dikelola sebagai suatu kesatuan unit dalam satu wadah pengelolaan. Rumusan masalah yang dikaji adalah bagaimana mendesain bangunan Gorontalo Electronic Centre yang mampu memberikan alternatif kepada masyarakat dalam melakukan jual beli elektronik. Tujuan dari perancangan ini adalah mendesain bangunan Gorontalo Electronic Centre yang mampu memberikan kenyamanan kepada masyarakat dalam melakukan jual beli barang elektronik sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan masyarakat dengan ditunjang usaha berbentuk promosi sebagai salah satu usaha memperkenalkan barang elektronik itu sendiri
Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah dengan melakukan studi lapangan, yaitu melihat lokasi yang sesuai untuk perancangan, studi literature, studi banding objek sejenis dan studi kasus dengan melihat perkembangan konseumen di Kota Gorontalo. Kemudian mengidentifikasi permaslahan yang terjadi dengan melihat peraturan setempat dan kriteria perancangan yang harus dicapai. Dari hasil identifikasi kemudian dianalisis dan menghasilkan konsep perancangan dengan tema Arsitektur Modern yaitu meliputi pemikiran mengenai konsep bentuk, ruang, fungsi dan konsruksi yang lebih ditekankan pada bentuk dan ruang. Hasil laporan berupa konsep perancangan dan penerapannya pada rancangan sebagai pedoman untuk melanjutkan perancangan Gorontalo Electronic Centre.

ABSTRACT
Gorontalo Electronic Center is a place to facilitate people who want to sell electronic goods to those who need such commodities. This place is organized under one management unit. The study is devoted to exploring the problem of designing a suitable building of Gorontalo Electronic Center; the location is to offer alternatives for people who wish to sell or purchase electronic products. Further, the output of this study is a design of the building that ensures both sellers and customersâ convenience during the transaction. This condition, along with efforts in promoting the products offered, contributes to the fulfillment of the customersâ needs.
This field study investigated a site specifically selected to be the location of the building. Additionally, reviewing literature, conducting a comparative study and case study were also involved in the procedure to identify the development of customers in the city of Gorontalo. Following these stages was the identification of the current issues by examining the local regulation and the objectives of the design criteria. The result of the identification was further analyzed to produce a design concept with a specific theme called Modern Architecture, which encompassed the ideas of shape, space, function, and construction; the theme puts more emphasis on the concept of shape and space. The output of the report, i.e., the concept design and its implementation in the building blueprint functions as a reference to continue the development of Gorontalo Electronic Center.
