Kristian C. Wartabone. 614 411 055. 2018. Business Management of Palm Sugar Industry in Household Scale in Tombulilato Village Sub-district of Atinggola District Gorontalo Utara. The principal supervisor is Asda Rauf, and the cosupervisor is Yanti Saleh.
The research aims to find out how the application business management of palm sugar industry in household scale in Tombulilato Village Sub-district of Atinggola District of Gorontalo Utara is. In running a sugar palm businees, it requires knowledge in management, because management underlies every activity to be done in the businees of palm sugar industry.
The study was conducted in Tombulilato Village, Sub-district of Atinggola. The study also uses qualitative and quantitave data with the sampling technigue used is the saturation or census sampling method which is the whole population are being sampled, then analyzed by using descriptive analysis technque.
The significance of this study could be a consideration for the palm sugar craftsmen to be the reference in businees development. Capital owned by the small palm sugar industry comes only from the craftsmen themselves, there has been no capital assistance from the government or the private sector for the development of a small palm sugar industry. Raw material from palm sugar is very easy to get into Tombulilato Village, Sub-district of Atinggola, District of Gorontalo Utara, not only from one tree but some area trees. The availability of sugar palm juice significantly influenced the sustainability of palm sugar industry.
