Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran penyuluh dan tingkat pendapatan peternak di Kecamatan Tibawa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 2 bulan dari bulan Oktober-November 2015 di Kecamatan Tibawa Kabupaten Gorontalo. Metode penelitian yang digunakana dalahmetode survei. Cara pengumpulan data penelitian ini dengan menggunakan data primer dan data sekunder. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan Purposive Sampling, kemudian menentukan besar sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin. Jumlah sampel 87 orang. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis pendapatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penyuluh mempunyai peran penting terhadap petani dalam pelaksanaan usaha Sapi potong di Kecamatan Tibawa dengan kategori sangat baik. Tingkat pendapatan petani pada usaha Sapi potong Rp 3.638.155 /ekor dengan rata-rata biaya produksi Rp 9.164.655 /ekor dari rata-rata penerimaan Rp 12.802.810 /ekor. Hal ini menunjukan bahwa pendapatan petani masih sangat rendah dan belum memenuhi upah minimum rakyat.

The study aims to determite the role of counselor to the income level of farmers in the district tibawa, The research was carried out past too months, from October until November 2015 in Tibawa district and Gorontalo Regency.The Research method used is the method of the survey. The colletion of data from the primary and the secondary. The sampling is done by purposive sampling. Then determine the sample size is done by using slovin formula. The number of samples 78. Analysis used descriptive and revenue. The results showed that the extension agent has an important role to the farmers in the implementation of beef cattle business in sub district tibawa with very good category. The income level of farmers in the beef cattle business Rp 3.638.155 each with Rp 9.164.655 production cost of each from reception Rp 12.802.810. This shows that the people do not meet the minimum wage.
