Oktavira Marsela Limpong.2022. The Neologism of English Words and Terms that used by Online Traders����¯�¿�½���� Advertisement Through Instagram Features. The thesis of English Education of Postgraduate Program. Gorontalo State University. Advisor (1) Prof. Karmila Machmud, S.Pd, M.A.,Ph.D, Advisor, (2) Dr.Usman Pakaya, S.S., M.A. Nowadays people have been used English in different setting of time and platform on certain communities such as family, public place (school, office, and environment), via internet and telecommunication (smartphone & telephone). In addition, sometimes people communicate each other, they are catching a new word or term with the new sense called Neologism. So, this study aims to find out the neologism in advertisement through online platform internet based and it will use application called Instagram; Instagram features as media advanced on this Era and used qualitative approach. Forth, the data was collected by captured the picture of the advertisement and taking note, the data finding has analysed by used dictionary (Oxford, Cambridge, and Idiom) to make sure the data well understanding also to avoid the bias and the process of analyzing are (1) identifying and Classifying (2) Analyzing (3) Elaborating and (4) Conclusion. The data finding gained 21 words in 12 accounts of Instagram. Furthermore, from 21 words, there are 6 types of Neologism into 2 big types within (existing words with new sense and new forms), they are word, collocation, Abbreviation, Pseudo-Neologism, Derived words, and Coinage words). Furthermore, the use English Neologism in online advertisement has been revealed by the implementation of foreign language is not only English but also Indonesia Slang that more attractive, eyes catchy and unique. So, neologism can create new creative words or terms that have a character in every platform that has an interaction. Keywords: Language Change, Translation, Morphology, Word-formation, Internet.
