Implementasi penerapan praktik keselamatan kerja pada siswa SMK sangat perlu diperhatikan. Kecelakaan terjadi akibat dari perilaku siswa yang tidak aman saat praktik kerja laboratorium. Selama praktikum, siswa harus mematuhi peraturan yang ada dan mengerti apa yang harus dilakukan untuk keselamatan dalam bekerja. Ruang lingkup keselamatan kerja mencakup: manusia (diri sendiri), alat-alat praktek dan lingkungan kerja.
Penelitian berjenis observasional dengan pendekatan studi deskriptif. Populasi adalah siswa teknik kendaraan ringan otomotif (TKRO) di SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo kelas X dan XII Tahun Pelajaran 2017-2018. Sampel 55 orang diambil dengan teknik accidental sampling. Variabel yang diteliti adalah pengetahuan, sikap dan tindakan mengenai keselamatan kerja selama praktikum di bengkel Teknik Kendaraan Ringan Otomotif (TKRO) SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo dengan analisis univariat.
Hasil Penelitian: Sebagian besar perilaku siswa TKRO SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo mengenai keselamatan kerja adalah berpengetahuan cukup (54,5%), bersikap positif (58,2%) dan bertindak kurang baik (58,2%).
Saran: pihak SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo hendaknya dapat meningkatkan penerapan keselamatan kerja selama praktikum serta melengkapi alat pelindung diri bagi siswa sehingga perilaku siswa dapat lebih baik dan menghindarkan siswa mengalami cedera selama praktikum.

Work safety for vocational high students is crucial since accidents can occur during laboratory practicum; this is especially due to the students' behavior. With that being said, the students are obliged to follow the rules for their safety during such work. Some aspects of work safety are the student, lab kit, and workspace or environment.
This observational research employed descriptive method. The population involved all students of class X and XII majoring in automotive vehicles in vocational high school, SMK Negeri 3 Gorontalo, the academic year of 2017- 2018. Furthermore, 55 students were selected as the sample through accidental sampling method.The variables, i.e., knowledge, attitude, and behavior on work safety, were examined by using univariate analysis.
The result shows that the students have sufficient knowledge of work safety (54.5%) and they are able to behave positively (58.2%). However, some of the students do not follow the work safety guidelines with the percentage 58.2%.
It suggested that the students raise their awareness during lab practicum by wearing protective kit to prevent accidents as well as to improve their work behavior.
