Mei Bobihu, 811413028. 2017. Kajian Tingkat Pengetahuan Dan Sosial Ekonomi Masyarakat Terhadap Pencemaran Logam Berat Di Lingkungan Sekitar Sungai Bone. Skripsi, Pembimbing I Dr. Hj. Pencemaran sungai merupakan Pencemaran yang disebabkan oleh limbah dapat menyebabkan penurunan kualitas sungai yang memberikan dampak terhadap berbagai komponen lingkungan hidup lainnya. Rumusan masalah bagaimana tingkat pengetahuan dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat terhadap pencemaran logam berat di lingkungan sekitar sungai Bone. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pengetahuan dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat terhadap pencemaran logam berat di lingkungan sekitar sungai Bone.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan tujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menggambarkan keadaan di lapangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survey lapangan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh masyarakat yang tinggal disekitar Sungai Bone dengan sampel 108 orang.
Hasil penelitian ini di dapat tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat lingkungan sekitar sungai Bone berada pada kategori cukup yakni 71 KK (65.7%), dengan demikian masyarakat sekitar sungai Bone sudah memahami dan mengerti masalah pencemaran dan dampaknya, akan tetapi berdasarkan hasil status kualitaas air sungai Bone sudah berada pada kategori cemar ringan bahkan sudah melebihi kategori sedang. Dan sosial ekonomi masyarakat sekitar sungai Bone dilihat dari aspek pendidikan masih rendah sehingga berpengaruh terhadap pencemaran logam berat karena dilihat dari peluang pekerjaan untuk para penambang memberikan dampak terhadap lingkungan, karena akan terjadi pula proses pengolahan emas yang nantinya pada proses amalgam menggunakan merkuri yang dapat mencemari sungai Bone.
Simpulan dalam penelitian ini bahwa tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat sekitar sungai Bone masih berada pada kategori cukup tentang pencemaran sungai, dan sosial ekonomi yang masih rendah berdampak pada pencemaran sungai. Diharapkan masyarakat sekitar sungai Bone menjaga kebersihan sepanjang sungai.

River pollution is caused by waste can lead to degradation of river quality which impact on various other life components. Problem statement of this research is how the level of knowledge and socio-economic community toward the pollution of heavy metal around the bone river this research aims to determine the level of knowledge and socio-economic community toward the pollution of heavy metal around the pollution of heavy metal around the bone river.
This is a descriptive research with identification and description of the condittion in the field. This research applies quantitative approach with field survey technique. Population of this research is the entire of community live around the bone river with 108 people as the sample.
Research finding reveals that the level of the community live around the bone river are adequately categorized with 71 KK (65,7%), thus the comunity around the river bone already understand the problem of pollution and its impact, but based on the water quality status, bone river has been in the category of mild contamination even more than medium categorized. In terms of education, socio-economic of community around the bone river is still low so that it effects on heavy metal pollution as seen from the opportunities of employment by the miners have an impact on the environment, because there will also be a process of gold processing which in the amalgam process uses mercury that can pollute the bone river.
This research can be concluded that the level of knowledge of the community around the bone river is still in the sufficient category on river pollution, and the socio-economic which is still low impacts on river pollution. Community around the river bone is expected to be able to mantain cleanliness along the river Bone.
