Abstract
ABSTRAK Status gizi balita dapat dipengaruhi dari berbagai faktor yang berkaitan dengan pola makan dan nutrisi. Rumusan masalah apakah ada pengaruh pemberian ASI eksklusif dan pengetahuan ibu terhadap status gizi balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tombulilato Kecamatan Bone Raya Kabupaten Bone Bolango. Tujuan Penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ASI Eksklusif dan pengetahuan ibu terhadap status gizi balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tombulilato Kecamatan Bone Raya Kabupaten Bone Bolango pada bulan September 2020. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi yaitu sebanyak 568 ibu balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Tombulilato dan sampel 75 ibu balita berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan pemberian ASI eksklusif paling banyak tidak diberikan ASI sebanyak 41 balita (54,7%), status gizi lebih berjumlah 14 (34,1%), status gizi baik berjumlah 4 balita (9,8%), status gizi kurang berjumlah 19 balita (46,3%), dan status gizi buruk berjumlah 4 balita (9,8%). Berdasarkan pengetahuan ibu paling banyak yaitu ibu yang memiliki pengetahuan kurang sebanyak 34 responden dengan status gizi lebih berjumlah 8 responden (23,5%), status gizi baik berjumlah 3 responden (8,8%), kategori status gizi kurang berjumlah 19 responden (55,9%), dan kategori status gizi buruk berjumlah 4 responden (11,8%). Kesimpulan ada pengaruh pemberian ASI eksklusif terhadap status gizi balita dengan nilai p value = 0,000, ada pengaruh pengetahuan ibu terhadap status gizi balita dengan nilai p valau= 0,001. Saran harapkan untuk terus rutin memberikan penyuluhan tentang gizi seimbang untuk anak kepada ibi-ibu balita Kata Kunci: Status Gizi, Balita, ASI Ekslusif, Pengetahuan. The Effect of Exclusive Breastfeeding and Mothers Knowledge on the Nutritional Status of Toddlers in the Work Area of the Puskesmas (Community Health Center) Tombulilato, Bone Raya Sub-district, Bone Bolango District, Skripsi. Departement of Public Health, Faculty of Sports and Health, State University of Gorontalo. The nutritional status of toddlers can be influenced by various factors related to diet and nutrition. The problem statement is wheter or not there is an effect of exclusive breastfeeding and mothers knowledge on the nutritional status of toddlers in the work area of Puskesmas Tombulilato Bone Raya Sub-district, Bone Bolango District. This study aims to know the effect of exclusive breastfeeding and mothers knowledge on the nutritional status of toddlers in the work area of Puskesmas Tombulilato Bone Raya Sub-district, Bone Bolango District in September 2020. This is a quantitative study with a cross sectional study approach. The population is 568 mothers in the work area of Puskesmas Tombulilato, and the sample is 75 mothers based on inclusion criteria by using the chi-square test. The finding based on exclusive breastfeeding shows that mostly the toddlers are not exclusively breastfed as many as 41 toddlers (54.7%), with the Category of over nutrition status for 14 toddlers (34.1%), good nutrition status for 4 toddlers (9.8%), malnutrition status for 19 toddlers (46.3%), and severe malnutrition status for 4 toddlers (9.8%). The finding based on mothers knowledge shows that most mothers who have less knowledge are 34 respondents with overnutrition status for 8 respondents (23.5%), good nutrition status for 3 respondents (8.8%), malnutrition status for 19 respondents (55.9%), and severe malnutrition status for 4 respondents (11.8%). Thus, it can be concluded that there is an effect of exclusive breastfeeding on the nutritional status of toddlers with p value = 0,000, and there is an effect of mothers knowledge on the nutritional status of toddlers with p value = 0.001. So, the suggestion is that the related parties are expected to continue to regularly provide counseling about balanced nutrition for children to mothers with toddlers.
