Abstract
ABSTRAK
Alat pelindung diri adalah suatu alat yang mempunyai kemampuan untuk melindungi seseorang dari potensi bahaya di tempat kerja. Kenyataannya masih banyak pekerja yang tidak menggunakan, hal tersebut disebabkan karena faktor yang mempengaruhi perilaku pekerja mencakup pengetahuan, sikap dan kenyamanan. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini apakah terdapat hubungan pengetahuan, sikap, dan kenyamanan dengan kepatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada pekerja las listrik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis hubungan kepatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada pekerja las listrik.
Metode penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan studi observasional analitik yaitu dengan pendekatan Cross Sectional. Populasi penelitian ini seluruh pekerja las listrik di Wilayah Kecamatan Sipatana Kota Gorontalo sebanyak 30 orang dengan sampel adalah seluruh populasi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan statistik uji chi-square.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas responden berpengetahuan kurang yaitu sebanyak 12 responden (40,0%), bersikap kurang yaitu sebanyak 12 responden (40,0%), kenyamanan yang kurang yaitu sebanyak 17 responden (56,7%) dan responden berdasarkan kepatuhan penggunakan alat pelindung diri yang tidak patuh yaitu sebanyak 18 responden (60,0%).
Simpulan penelitian berdasarkan perhitungan menggunakan uji statistik Chi- Square bahwa ada hubungan antara pengetahuan, sikap, dan kenyamanan dengan kepatuhan penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada pekerja las listrik. Saran untuk pemilik bengkel las listrik di Kecamatan Sipatana diharapkan untuk melaksanakan pengawasan kepada pekerja terhadap penggunaan alat pelindung diri dan pengawasan pada saat bekerja.

ABSTRACT
Personal protective equipment can be defined as a tool to protect peoplefrom potential danger in the workplace. In fact, many workers still do not use it,and this is due to the influence factors of the workers' behavior. It includesknowledge, attitude and comfort. Therefore, this study focused ondiscovering whether there was a correlation between knowledge, attitudes, andcomfort with the use of personal protective equipment obedience in electricwelding workers. The research aimed to analyze the correlation between thosevariables and the use of personal protective equipment by electric weldingworkers.
In addition, this study was a quantitative study of an analytic observationalstudy using Cross Sectional approach. The population ofthis study was all electricwelding workers in Sipatana Subdistrict, Gorontalo City. It consisted of 30workers with the entire population as the sample. Furthermore, this study usedunivariate and bivariate analysis with the chi-square test statistic to analyze thedata.
The results showed that the majority of respondents lacked knowledge(12respondents or 40,0%), lacked attitude (12 respondents or 40,0%), feltuncomfortable (17 respondents or 56,7%) and were disobedient (18 respondentsor 60,0%).
In conclusion, based on the Chi-Square statistical test, there is acorrelation between knowledge, attitudes, and comfort with obedience in usingpersonal protective equipment in electric welding workers. It is suggested that theelectric welding owners in Sipatana Subdistrict supeivise the use of personalprotective equipment.
