�Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan tertinggi di Kota Gorontalo yaitu jenis kendaraan roda dua (kendaraan bermotor) dan dikhawatirkan peningkatan oleh jumlah kendaraan ini akan lebih meningkat lagi di tahun-tahun yang akan datang khususnya untuk kendaraan bermotor yang dapat berakibat terhadap penurunan kualitas udara Kota Gorontalo. Tujuan Penelitian ni mengidentifikasi kualitas udara ambien di sekitar wilayah Kota Gorontalo.
Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian yaitu cross sectional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan kualitas udara ambien di sekitar wilayah Kota Gorontalo dengan melakukan pengukuran konsentrasi CO dan TSP udara ambien. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan pada Tiga titik disekitar wilayah Kota Gorontalo antara lain yaitu Perlimaan telaga, Depan Kampus Universitas Negeri Gorontalo dan Pusat perbrlanjaan.
�hasil pengukuran Carbon Monoksida(CO) rata-rata melebihi abang batas atau standar baku mutu udara ambien dengan presentasi tertinggi pada lokasi ke tiga yaitu Pusat perbelanjaan dengan hasil 39.568 μg/Nm3. Nilai TSP ditiga titik lokasi pengukuran bervariasi dapat dilihat presentasi tertinggi berada dilokasi ke tiga yaitu pusat perbelanjaan dengan hasil rata-rata pengukuran 248,8 μg/Nm3 nilai ini melebihi standar baku mutu uadara ambien dan presentasi terendah berada pada lokasi pengukuran kedua yaitu depan kampus UNG dengan hasil rata-rata pengukuran 114,6 μg/Nm3. . Kondisi meteorologis ini sangat mempengaruhi konsentrasi CO dan TSP sehingga hasilnya juga sangat bervariasi

Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG).
The two-wheeled motor vehicle is the highest type of transportation in
Gorontalo city. It is feared that it will increase even more in the coming years as it
can result in a decrease in the air quality. The research purpose is to identify the
ambient air quality in the area of Gorontalo City.
This research is quantitative descriptive using a cross sectional design. The
research measures the concentration of CO and TSP in ambient air in order to
describe the air quality in the area of Gorontalo City. The research sites are
located at three points in the area of Gorontalo City, which are at the traffic circle
of Talaga, at the front of UNG, and at a shopping center.
Findings reveal that carbon monoxide concentration at the three sites
exceeds the average threshold or the ambient air quality standard, whereby the
shopping center obtains the highest percentage of 39.568 ug/Nm?. Furthermore,
the TSP concentrations of the three sites are varied and exceed the ambient air
quality standard, in which the shopping center yields the highest percentage of
248.8 ug/Nm?. However, the lowest presentation of 114.6 ug/Nm' is located at
the front of UNG. This meteorological condition exerts a significant effect on the
