Abstract
ABSTRAK Jumiana : 2016. "Uji daya hambat antibakteri ekstrak n-heksan rumput laut (Gracilaria sp) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus . Karya Tulis Ilmiah. Program Studi DIII Farmasi Fakultas Olahraga dan Kesehatan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Dibimbing oleh Moh. Adam Mustapa.,S.Si.,M.Sc dan Nurain Thomas.,S.Si.,M.Si.Apt Rumput Laut (Gracilari sp) mengandung metabolit sekunder yang merupakan senyawa bioaktif yang berperan sebagai antibakteri. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui adanya daya hambat ekstrak n-heksan rumput laut (Gracilaria sp) terhadap bakteri Staphylococcus aureus dan juga untuk mengetahui daya hambat dari masing-masing konsentrasi ekstrak n-heksan rumput laut (Gracilaria sp) terhadap pertumbuhan bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Rumput laut di ekstrak hingga didapatkan ekstrak kental yang akan diuji pada antibakteri. Metode yang digunakan untuk menguji daya hambat ini adalah metode difusi agar (difusi cakram) dengan menggunakan ekstrak rumput laut sebanyak 3 konsentrasi yaitu 5%, 15%, 25% serta control negatif dan control positif eritromisin. Dari masing-masing konsentrasi yang digunakan yaitu 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% dan 25% ekstrak n-heksan rumput laut memiliki zona hambat dengan rata-rata sebesar 9 mm, 11,6 mm, 12,3mm, 13 mm dan 14,3 mm Kata Kunci : Daya hambat antibakteri ekstrakt rumput laut (Gracilaria sp), Bakteri Staphylococcus aureus ABSTRACT Jumiana : 2016.
