Abstract
ABSTRAK Linsi Umar Ahmad. 2021. Uji Toksisitas Ekstrak Daun Kencur (Kaempferia Galangal L) Dengan Metode Brine Shrimp Lethaly Test (BSLT). Karya Tulis Ilmiah, Diploma III Farmasi, Jurusan Farmasi, Fakultas Olahraga dan Kesehatan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Dr. Hamsidar Hasan M.Si.,Apt dan pembimbing II Mahdalena Sy. Pakaya M.Si., Apt Salah satu tanaman yang berpotensi sebagai obat-obatan adalah tanaman kencur (Kaempferia galanga L). Banyak penelitian yang menyatakan rimpang kencur berguna untuk infeksi bakteri, obat batuk, disentri, masuk angin dan sakit perut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efek toksik ekstrak daun kencur terhadap larva Artemia Salina dengan menggunakan metode BSLT (Brine shrimp lethaly test). Penelitian ini menggunakan 3 perlakuan konsentrasi menggunakan 10 ekor larva Artemia salina yang mati setelah 48 jam. Selanjutnya dihitung nilai LC50 dengan menggunakan analisis probit. Hasil analisis probit menunjukan bahwa nilai LC50 dari ekstrak n-heksan 96,13 �µg/ml. ekstrak etil asetat 98,22 �µg/ml dan untuk ekstrak metanol daun kencur yaitu 156,06 �µg/ml. Many studies have asserted that the rhizome of kencur is useful for bacterial infections, cough medicine, dysentery, cold, and stomachache. Therefore, the research aimed to identify the toxic effect of kencur leaf extract on Artemia Salina larvae applying the BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test) method. It employed three concentration treatments using 10 Artemia Salina larvae that died after 48 hours. Further, it was calculated by LC50 with probit analysis. The result of probit analysis revealed that the value of LC50 from n-hexane extract was 96,13 µg/ml, ethyl acetate extract was 98,22 µg/ml and methanol extract of kencur leaf was 156,06 µg/ml.
