Abstract
ABSTRAK Riqqah Yustika Nurnaflah Sinale, 2022. Gambaran Interaksi Obat pada Pasien Geriatri yang Menderita Penyakit Jantung Koroner di Instalasi Rawat Inap RSUD Dr. M. M. Dunda Limboto. Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Jurusan Farmasi, Fakultas Olahraga dan Kesehatan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Dr. Teti Sutriyati Tuloli, S.Farm. M.Si. ABSTRACT Riqqah Yustika Nurnaflah Sinale, 2019. Overview of Drug Interactions in Geriatric Patients with Coronary Artery Disease in the Inpatient Installation of Dr. M. M. Dunda Limboto Regional Public Hospital. Bachelor's Degree Program in Pharmacy, Department of Pharmacy, Faculty of Sports and Health, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. The principal supervisor is Dr. Teti Sutriyati Tuloli, S. Farm., M.Si., Apt, and the co-supervisor is Madania, S.Farm., M.Sc., Apt. Coronary artery disease during the treatment period received not only drugs to reduce symptoms but also other drugs to treat comorbidities, other complaints during hospitalization, and required treatment for diagnosed risk factors. Moreover, geriatric patients have pathological and physiological conditions that make the elderly consume more drugs, so geriatric patients have a greater risk of experiencing drug interactions. Drug interaction is defined as an effect that arises because one drug affects the impact of other drugs, which results in changes in effectiveness, toxicity, and drug levels in plasma. The recent study describes the potential of drug interactions in geriatric patients who have coronary artery disease in the inpatient installation of Dr. M.M. Dunda Limboto Regional Public Hospital. This study is a descriptive observational study using a cross-sectional design. The sampling applies purposive sampling with a sample of 52 patients. The research instrument uses a data collection sheet, where the data is obtained from medical records from January to December 2019. The data collected are reviewed based on the Drug Information Handbook 20th edition guidelines and Stockley's Drug Interaction 8th edition, which are analyzed using the univariate method. The results show that the most use of drugs in geriatric patients with artery disease is in the cardiovascular system therapy of 135 drugs (37.8%). Furthermore, there are conditions of moderate severity for 83% of drug interactions, major severity for 13%, and minor severity for 4%. In addition, there is a pharmacodynamic interaction for 75%, and pharmacokinetic interaction for 25%. Keywords: Drug Interaction, Coronary Artery Disease, Geriatric.
