Abstract
ABSTRAK Mohamad Apriyanto Pulukadang, 2021. Uji Toksisitas Ekstrak Kulit Batang Nangka (Artocarpus Heterophyllus L.) Dengan Metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT). Skripsi Program Studi S1 Farmasi, Jurusan Farmasi, Fakultas Olahraga Dan Kesehatan, Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Pembimbing I Mohamad Adam Mustapa, M.Sc Dan Pembimbing II Dr. apt. Hamsidar Hasan, S.Si., M.Si. Kulit batang nangka adalah salah satu tanaman yang memiliki efek toksisitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui toksisitas serta mengatahui nilai toksisitas dari ekstrak kulit batang nangka (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) dengan Metode Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT), uji ini menggambarkan tingkat ketoksikan ekstrak terhadap larva Artemia salina. Ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi bertingkat dengan menggunakan pelarut N-heksan, etil asetat, metanol yang selanjutnya diuapkan dan menghasilkan ekstrak kental masing-masing 23,4g, 19g dan 23g. Hasil skrining fitokimia menandakan adanya beberapa senyawa metabolit pada ekstrak N-heksan, etil asetat, dan methanol. Kemudian dilakukan analisis BSLT yang dimana masing-masing fraksi dibagi dalam beberapa konsentrasi antara lain 1 ppm, 3 ppm, 5 ppm, dan 7 ppm dengan memasukan udang sejumlah 15 ekor dimasing-masing konsetrasi ditiap-tiap fraksi kemudian dilihat berapa jumlah udang yang mati. Selanjutnya dihasilkan nilai LC50 pada ekstrak N-heksan, etil asetat, dan metanol berturut-turut 6.955 ppm, 11.019 ppm, dan 7.344 ppm. This study aims to determine the toxicityof the jackfruit stem bark extrac (Artocarpus heterophyllus L.) and its toxicity value by applying Brine Shrimp Lethality Test (BSLT) method. This test describes the level of toxicity of the extract to Artemia salina larvae. The jackfruit stem bark is extracted by the graded maceration method using N-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol as solvents (hereinafter referred to as fractions). Additionally, it is ecaporated and respectively produces a thick extract of 23.4g, 19g, and 23g. The resulst of phytochemical screening indicated the presence of several metabolites compounds in the extract of N-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. Furhthermore, the BSLT analysis was carried out on each fraction, where each fraction was divided into several concetrations amounted to 1 ppm, 3 ppm, 5 ppm, and 7 ppm. 15 shrimps were added in each fraction, and the number of dead shrimps was seenas a parameter of toxicity. After calculating the LC50 values of N-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol, the values respectively amounted tp 6,955 pmm, 11,091 ppm, and 7,344 ppm.
