Abstract

Pengaruh Locus Of Control Terhadap Kinerja Auditor Internal dengan Etika Profesi Auditor Sebagai Variabel Moderating (Studi Pada Inspektorat Daerah Provinsi dan Kota Gorontalo). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh locus of control terhadap kinerja auditor internal dengan etika profesi auditor sebagai variabel moderating. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Inspektorat Daerah Provinsi dan Kota Gorontalo. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh auditor internal pemerintah yang bekerja pada Inspektorat Daerah Provinsi dan Kota Gorontalo yang berjumlah 52 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik non probability sampling yaitu sampling jenuh/sensus. Jenis data yang digunakan adalah data primer yang dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner. Jumlah kuesioner yang disebar sebanyak 52 dan jumlah kuesioner kembali yang dapat digunakan sebagai sampel untuk analisis sebanyak 32. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan alat analisis statistik yakni uji Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA).
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) locus of control berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor internal, (2) etika profesi auditor tidak memoderasi pengaruh locus of control terhadap kinerja auditor internal. Penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa etika profesi auditor secara langsung berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja auditor internal. Dari hasil analisis ini diketahui bahwa variabel moderating berfungsi sebagai variabel prediktor (independen) yang berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap kinerja auditor internal.

The study is aimed at verifying the influence of locus of control towards internal auditor performance with auditor profession ethic as a moderating variable. This study is conducted at A Study at Inspectorate Offices of Regional, City, and Province of Gorontalo. The population is government internal auditors who work at Inspectorate Offices of Regional, City, and Province of Gorontalo amounted to 52 people. The number of the collected questionnaire is 32 which then become samples and will be analyzed. The technique of sampling is saturated sampling/census. The data are primary data collected through questionnaire. The distributed questionnaires are 52, and the collected questionnaires are 32. The data that have been collected are analyzed statistically using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA).
Findings reveal that (1) locus of control has a positive and significant influence toward internal auditor performance and (2) auditor profession ethic is not moderating the influence of locus of control toward internal auditor performance. This study proves that auditor profession ethic has a positive and significant influence directly towards internal auditor performance. The analysis result verified that the moderating variable has a function as a predictor variable (independent) that directly influences the internal auditor performance.
