Abstract
Lactic acid have potensial as bacterisidal or bacteriostatic. This research was conducted to know the effectiveness of filtrate lactic acid Lactobacillus Sp. from milkfish intestine according to concentrations toward zone of growth inhibition phatogen bacteria. This research was an experimentally research conducted in laboratory of BPPMHP Gorontalo used completely randomized design with two replications. Species of pathogen bacteria used were Bacillus cereus, Staphilococcus aureus, Salmonella paratyphi and E.coli.. The concentration filtrate lactic acid culture Lactobacillus sp used 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100% and NaCl fisiologis 0,9% as control. The parameters were diameter (mm) of the zones of bacterial growth inhibition. The Results showed that treatment with filtrate of lactic acid concentration 50 to 100% effective can inhibition the growth of bacterial pathogen. This treatment provide that the filtrate lactic acid of culture Lactobacillus sp can be used as bio-preservative. Keywords: Bio-preservative, Lactic Acid, Milkfish
