Abstract
The research aimed at describing the use of standard bahasa Indonesia storytelling on students of SDN 02 Boliyohuto, subdistrict of Boliyohuto district of Gorontalo. The research applied qualitative method with descriptive design. Data collection were through observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis had been focused during the procees in the field. The result showed that teacher was more dominant to teach Bahasa Indonesia rather than how to use Bahasa Indonesia, well. This leads the students to have difficulty in telling a story. Therefore, it gained 4 students or 18,18% who were categorized to less capable and 12 students or 54,54% yet 6 students or 27,27% were categorized to not capable. To sum up, the use of standard Bahasa Indonesia in story telling on students of SDN 02 Boliyohuto, subdistrict of Boliyohuto, district of Gorontalo has been run yet it is considered not optimal.
